Originally of French Lebanese descent, Mariam Bombrun is a collaborative pianist based in New York.
Since the time of her studies when she first started working with singers in Vienna, she has served as a repetiteur coach, orchestra keyboardist, assistant conductor and diction coach in Europe and the United States.
As a native French speaker, trained in German and passionate about the art of lyric diction, she is often invited to work on French and German repertoire as her forte, all the while playing and coaching a broad range of styles - from Rameau to Bates.
For the upcoming 26/27 season, Mariam will join the music staff of the Teatr Wielki - Polish National Opera, under the music direction of Yoel Gamzou.
Her recent music staff engagements include the Aspen Music Festival and School (P. Summers), the Metropolitan Opera (Y. Nézet-Ségin, P.G. Morandi, J. Mallwitz), the Paris Opera (O. Lyniv, T. Currentzis, M. Schønwandt) and San Diego Symphony (R. Payare).
Her former operatic collaborations include the Paris Opera (Y. Perinpanayagam, M. Armiliato, P. Lange, A. Manacorda, E. Askren, L. Langrée), Theater Bremen (M. Letonja) and Neue Oper Wien (W. Kobéra).
She is an alumna of the Metropolitan Opera Lindemann Young Artist Development Program, the Paris Opera Academy and the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna.
